He was created by writersSteven Grant (initial conception) andFrank Lovece (script), andpenciler Ed Murr . Bloodstorm is a
genetically engineered clone of Dracula created by the terrorist organizationHYDRA 's Department of Occult Armaments (DOA). He did not bear the same appearance as Marvel's portrayal of Dracula. Mentally subjugated by the one-time Lord of Vampires,Varnae , Bloodstorm was seemingly destroyed in the explosion that had appeared to killHannibal King and Frank Drake.
