Matthew "Matt" Gunn is an American writer and actor from St. Louis, Missouri.
He has a sister and four brothers: writer/director James Gunn, actor Sean Gunn, film/television writer Brian Gunn, and film executive/producer Patrick Gunn. They all attended St. Louis University High School.

Writing
In 1997, he wrote, produced, and starred in Man About Town, a twenty-minute film that won the Sundance Film Festival's Short Filmmaking Award. The film later sold for a record-breaking amount to Cinemax. Matt Gunn was a political and humor writer on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, ending in 2010.
Acting
He played "Dan McMahon" in the 2003 film, The Man Who Invented the Moon, directed by John Cabrera and starring his brother Sean.
