Raymond James Boland

Raymond James Boland, born February 8, 1932, in Ireland, was the second Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama and the seventh Bishop of the Diocese of Kansas City-Saint Joseph.infobox bishopstyles

He was ordained to the priesthood on June 16, 1957, for the Archdiocese of Washington. He was appointed Bishop of Birmingham in Alabama on February 2, 1988, and consecrated on March 25, 1988. He was appointed Bishop of Kansas City-Saint Joseph, on June 22, 1993. Bishop Boland retired May 24, 2005, and currently serves as Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Kansas City-Saint Joseph.

His brother, John Kevin Boland, is the Bishop of Savannah (Georgia)
