Taipei ,Taiwan and was later adopted by a family inArkansas when she was five months old.She broke into the erotica industry in 1996, under the names Blake Young and Brooke Young before adopting the name Kobe Tai. She is signed toVivid Entertainment as an exclusive performer, and was the first East Asian Vivid contract girl and stayed with Vivid almost the entire span of her adult career.Tai married erotica film actor, Mark Davis, in 1997. The couple divorced in late 1999.
In 2000, she left the industry, announcing that she was expecting her first child. She returned to erotica in December 2001; her last film was "Jenna Loves Kobe" with
