- East Devon College
East Devon College (sometimes shortened to EDC) is a
further education college situated in Tiverton,Devon . The college operates on four sites; the main campus being located in Tiverton, with three additional sites being located inHoniton ,Exmouth and Tiverton. In 2005 the college enrolled 3,144 learners, of which 877 were full-time. Around 80% of those learners were aged between sixteen and eighteen years of age. The college's motto is "Maximising your potential", and their aim is "to develop skills, knowledge and confidence for all".Ofsted visit and inspect the college annually, and conduct a full inspection approximately every four years. The latest inspection took place onOctober 2 2007 and the findings suggested that the college was making "insufficient progress", in such areas as achievements and standards, quality of provision, and leadership and management. The two colleges aim to remain as separate institutions, but sharing financial resources and information systems across the two main sites, and the many satellite sites operated by the two colleges.References
