David Bolland

David Bolland

David Bolland (born June 5, 1986 in Mimico, Ontario) is a Canadian ice hockey player. He played with the London Knights for three seasons, and he now plays for the Chicago Blackhawks and Rockford IceHogs, with World Juniors teammates Cam Barker and Michael Blunden. Bolland made his NHL debut versus the Vancouver Canucks on October 25, 2006.

Center Bolland became the first AHL Rockford IceHogs player to get the call from the Chicago Blackhawks on Novemebr 25. He scored the first goal in AHL IceHogs history on October 6 at Quad City. The Mimico, Ontario native spent the majortiy of his second professional season with the Blackhawks, making two stops in Rockford along the way. He recorded his first NHL point on October 31 against Dallas and scored his first NHL goal on December 16 against Florida. He had 10 points in 16 games with the IceHogs.

2007-08 Season

*Returned on loan back to Rockford on 4/8/08 after the conclusion of the Blackhawks season.
*Finished the season with Chicago by scoring a point in six of the Blackhawks final nine games totaling 1g-5a and a +6.
*Scored two goals and was the #2 Star of the Game in Chicago's 3-0 win over Minnesota on 2/20/08.
*Recorded a pair of assists at Nashville on 2/14/08 in Chicago's 6-1 win over the Predators, his first multi-point NHL game.
*Returned on loan to Rockford on 1/30/08 and appeared in two games before recall to Chicago on 2/12/08.
*Scored first career NHL goal on 12/16/07 against Florida in Chicago's 3-2 win.
*Had a pair of assists in Rockford's 5-3 loss against Quad City on 11/23/07.
*Recorded his first NHL point when he registered an assist on 10/31/07 against Dallas.
*Recalled to Chicago on 10/25/07.
*Tallied the game winning goal at Houston in Rockford's 3-2 win on 10/17/07.
*Scored the first ever goal in Rockford AHL history on 10/6/07 at Quad City.

*Tied for the OHL lead in goals (57) and was second in the league in points (130) behind line mate Rob Schremp.
*Won yhr OHL's Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy in 2005-06 given to the OHL's top scoring right winger.
*Was a First Team AHL All-Star in 2005-06.
*A member of London's 2005 Memorial Cup Champion Team.
*Won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships.
