"Let's Go" (1976-1984) was a
Canadian children's TV series filmed at CKY studios inWinnipeg, Manitoba ,Canada . It premieredSeptember 1 1976 and ran for 214 episodes. The show starred Janis Dunning and 14 kids, one of whom wasactor Scott Bairstow .Each episode was 30 minutes in length, and included skits and music, performed by Janice and the kids.
The series was developed through the
Manitoba Theatre Workshop , some of whose students, includingMichael Hearn (as Mikey Simpson) were featured in the cast. [http://www.umanitoba.ca/libraries/units/archives/collections/complete_holdings/ead/html/praire_theatre_ex.shtml]The music on the program was written by
Victor Davies , who for "Let's Go" and "The Rockets" (Janice's next project) wrote more than 600 songs.This program was broadcast throughout Canada on CTV.
