The team won the British Championship 4 times in 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972. The club was also the 86/87 and 87/88 British Hockey League Champions and played in the Premier Division of this league from 1982 to 1995.
Additionally, the club won the Northern League on 7 occasions - in 1970, 1971, 1972, 1975, 1979, 1980 and 1980 and the Benson & Hedges Cup in 1993.
In the mid-90s the club became the Edinburgh Racers. Today, Edinburgh's ice hockey team is the Edinburgh Capitals.
