Peshev Ridge

Peshev Ridge (Peshev Rid 'pe-shev 'rid) is a crescent-shaped ridge extending 2 km along the NE coast of Brunow Bay and SE of Macy Glacier, Livingston Island, Antarctica. Its E extremity is formed by the summit St. Naum Peak (620 m). The ridge was named in honour of Dimitar Peshev (1894-1973), who led the campaign that kept Bulgaria’s Jews safe during the Holocaust.

Location

The central peak is located at coord|62|41|56|S|60|07|47|W| which is 4.25 km E by S of Simeon Peak, 4.27 km SE of Mount Friesland, 3.96 km S of Levski Peak, and 5 km SW of Great Needle Peak (Falsa Aguja) (Bulgarian topographic survey Tangra 2004/05, and mapping in 2005).
