- Preslav Crag
Preslav Crag (Vrah Preslav 'vr&h pre-'slav) is a sharp peak rising to approx. 600 m in
Friesland Ridge ,Tangra Mountains , easternLivingston Island ,Antarctica . The peak has precipitous and ice-free south-western and north-eastern slopes and overlooksPrespa Glacier to the SW andMacy Glacier to the NE, the latter flowing between Preslav Crag andPeshev Ridge intoBrunow Bay . The peak is named after the Bulgarian town ofPreslav (Veliki Preslav), that in the ninth century was the capital of the First Bulgarian Kingdom.Location
The crag is located at coord|62|42|32|S|60|11|08|W| which is 1.65 km ESE of
St. Cyril Peak , 2 km NNW ofNeedle Peak and 3.1 km WSW of the summit ofPeshev Ridge (Bulgarian mapping in 2005).External links
