Jacob Warrick (1773 - 1811) was an
Indiana militia leader.Jacob Warrick was born at Warrick's Station, in
Greenbrier County, West Virginia , the son of John Warrick, who fought at theBattle of Point Pleasant , in LordDunmore's War in 1774. Jacob Warrick moved on toNicholas County, Kentucky .In 1795, Warrick married Jane Montgomery, in
Virginia . She was the daughter of Thomas Montgomery, who settled inMontgomery County, Kentucky in 1793.The Montgomery family arrived in
Gibson County, Indiana , in 1805, and the Warricks arrived in 1806. Warrick, together with Thomas Montgomery, burned the last Native American village in Gibson County in 1807, and pursued the Natives into Illinois.Capt. Jacob Warrick commanded a company in the
Indiana militia duringTecumseh's War . He was killed onNovember 7 1811 at theBattle of Tippecanoe . His widow, Jane Montgomery, died in 1846 inGibson County, Indiana .External links
