Colorado public radio station founded inManitou Springs, Colorado in 1977 and signed on for the first time on December 24, 1979. It broadcasts on 88.7 FM withclassical music . It airedjazz on Saturday mornings and evenings for most of the station's existence, but this has been discontinued. Its studios are now in theColorado Springs city limits and its mainbroadcasting tower is now onCheyenne Mountain , southwest ofColorado Springs, Colorado . KCME recently extended its broadcasting online to bring more listeners into its audience. KCME is also now usingHD Radio .Programming
