Thompson was born and raised in

He currently headlines at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, and performs various comedy gigs when his show is not playing. His movie roles include the1998 film "Chairman of The Board", and served as a spokesman in commercials for1-800-CALL-ATT . From 1995 to 1999, he was thecontinuity announcer forCartoon Network . In 2002, he recorded a commentary track for theRoger Avary film "The Rules of Attraction." In 2006, Carrot Top appeared in theReno 911! episode "Weigel's Pregnant" as an enraged version of himself who trashed his hotel room and resisted arrest. In 2008, he was a guest judge for NBC's "Last Comic Standing " in a contest where the participants had to performprop comedy at aBed, Bath and Beyond utilizing store items with only an hour to prepare.Carrot Top produced and starred in an early morning show on
