John F. Kerin (died
25 January 2006 ) was aphysician ,Professor of reproductivemedicine , and was a recognized innovator in biomedical technology.Kerin had qualified with a
Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and wasDoctor of Medicine (MD). He was a fellow of the Royal Australasian College ofObstetrics andGynecology (FRANZCOG) [ [http://www.ranzcog.edu.au Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynocologists/ Fellowship of the RANZCOG] ] and had been awarded a Certificate in ReproductiveEndocrinology andInfertility (CREI). University of Adelaide (1979-1986), UCLA School of Medicine andCedars-Sinai Medical Centre (1986-1991) andFresenius Medical Care (1992-1995). While at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) inAdelaide, South Australia , his team produced South Australia's first IVF twins. For 7 years he was a principal investigator for conducting international multi-centreFood and Drug Administration regulated clinical trials for assessing the safety and efficacy of reproducive technology. In June 2004 he was appointed the Medical Director ofFlinders Reproductive Medicine .
