November 2 ,1916 -1987) was a British author ofbiography ,fiction andnon-fiction .Clark landed in
Normandy onD-Day as aWar Correspondent with theCanadians . He followed the war until the end, and remained inGermany to report on the majorWar Crimes trials. His post-war career produced biographies of a diverse group of historical figures, including:Charles Darwin ,Thomas Edison ,Albert Einstein ,Benjamin Franklin ,Sigmund Freud ,J.B.S. Haldane ,V. I. Lenin ,Bertrand Russell , and William F. Friedman. He also wrote aboutmountain climbing (over a dozen titles), theatomic bomb ,Balmoral Castle , and world explorers.elected works
