Freda Künzlen Corbet (
15 November 1900 —1 November 1993 ) was a British Labour politician.Born Freda Mansell, she was educated at Wimbledon County School and
University College, London . She became a teacher, lecturer and a barrister. She was married and widowed and later re-marriedIan McIvor Campbell .Corbet became active in the Labour movement, serving as secretary of the Balham and Tooting
Independent Labour Party . She served as a councillor on theLondon County Council 1935-65 and acted asChief Whip to the Labour group there, until deposed byBill Fiske in 1960. She contested Lewisham East at the 1935 general election, without success. She became a magistrate in 1940.At the 1945 election, Corbet was elected
Member of Parliament for Camberwell North West, moving to Peckham in 1950. She retired in February 1974.References
