Michael Twist

Michael Twist (born April 6, 1972) is Canadian writer of fiction, non-fiction and poetry.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, he obtained a B.A. in Communications and English from Simon Fraser University. He has experience as a professional English teacher and obtained Trinity College (TESOL) certification in Barcelona, Spain. In "Highs and Lows: A Personal Approach to Living with Diabetes" (2001) Twist argues for a re-evaluation of the way we view diabetes and those who suffer from it. His published poetry chapbooks include "Here & Now" (1998) and "Fireworks" (2000). He has written for publications including "Shared Vision", "The Danforth Review", "Momentum", "Diabetes Health", "Maelstrom", and "Webspace".
