Ashley Vernon McGrath (born 20 May 1983) is an indigenous Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

Picked up in the 2000 AFL Draft at pick no. 13, the Brisbane Lions recruited the talented forward, where he made his AFL debut late in 2001. He continued to establish himself in the side and by 2003, was a regular member, being part of the Lions' 3rd straight AFL premiership.

In 2005 he found more opportunities up forward with the retirement of other forwards Craig McRae and Alastair Lynch.

McGrath has two brothers who also played in the AFL, Toby and Cory.

Ashley McGrath is known for his quick snap kick at goals and also his on-ground soccer.

Considered one of the best Forward Pocket in AFL, but has not shown his potential due to injuries.

In 2008 season, Ashley McGrath have been regularly playing as attacking right/left half back flanker which has been successful. He has shown his ability to beat his opponents by his fast pace, agility and his accurate kick. However, many Brisbane Lions fans prefers Ashley McGrath to play forward pocket due to provide more support for Daniel Bradshaw and Jonathan Brown .
