Associated Press library of Guantanamo Bay detainee dossiers

The Associated Press made available for internet download a library of dossiers of the Guantanamo Bay detainees Combatant Status Review Tribunals.ref|APList

The Department of Defense provided Combatant Status Review Tribunals for 550 detainees from August 2004 through March 2005. Most of these dossiers consist of half a dozen or more documents. Several of those documents are copies of the authorization for particular tribunals, or official receipts. Some dossiers are missing some documents. But, all but one of them contain a memo from the officer in charge of combatant status review tribunals, entitled: Summary of Evidence, that contained a list of allegations.

Approximately half of the detainees chose not to participate in their Combatant Status Reviews. All of the detainees who had received legal advice had been advised not to participate in their Tribunals.

All of the decisions for all the detainees whose dossiers are available in this library are based on secret evidence.
