- Jori Olkkonen
Jori Olkkonen (born 1968), current name Petrik Salovaara and known in the
demoscene as Yip/Pure-Byte, is one of the most widely known Finnish computer game musicians of the 1980s, making music forCommodore 64 . Some of his most widely known pieces of music are "Omega Man" and "5th Dream About Happiness", latter of which was first published in Pure-Byte demo "Scroll Machine" and later used in the high-score list music of the game "BMX Kidz " (the main game music was composed byRob Hubbard ). The "Omega Man" song was used in the game with same name. Olkkonen also made the music forJukka Tapanimäki 's game "Netherworld" and Pasi Hytönen's game "Uuno Turhapuro ". Olkkonen also wrote for Finnish computer magazines. The listing for C64 music editor he coded and used, "Megasound", was also published in C=lehti.He later changed his name to Petrik Salovaara when he got married.
Currently Olkkonen works for Solotes Finland Oy.
