Hawker Siddeley Switchgear is a British manufacturer and once part of the Hawker Siddeley Group of Companies. The HS name was bought retained by one of HS firms, South Wales Switchgear. The UK based firm and their Australian unit Hawker Siddeley Switchgear Australia Pty Ltd are a makers of medium voltage switchgear company. Based in the United Kingdom and are owned by FKI PLC. Hawker Siddeley forms part of FKI PLC's Energy Technology Group of Companies:

HSS dates back to 1888 when Charles Francis Brush established the Brush Electrical Engineering Company in Loughborough. In 1991 South Wales Switchgear merged with Brush Switchgear to form HSSL. FKI PLC purchased Hawker Siddeley Electric Power Group in 1996. The Hawker name lives on in two units, Hawker Siddeley Power Transformers and Hawker Siddeley Switchgear.
