Ronald Gerard OBE, KSJ (born 1925) is an English
property developer andphilanthropist .Ron Gerard rose from humble beginnings in Hackney to become a successful
property developer and also one of the most benevolent supporters ofcricket and the arts during the late 20th century.He gives regular talks on classical music.
He has been a tireless supporter in every level of county cricket in Middlesex from the grass roots, through the colts and recreational system and into the county club.
He served on the Middlesex General Committee for over thirty years and was President (1999-2001).
He has also been a key contributor to other causes such as The Lords Taverners, providing eight mini-buses to allow for less privileged and disabled children to go on excursions, Brooklands Motor Museum (hon. benefactor), Royal Hospital Chelsea (donated the Sovereign's Mace)... and countless others. Ron also restored the Barry Murals at the R.S.A. and provided the Gerard bar.
He is married to Patricia Gerard, who is a member of the Lady Taverners herself and a watercolour artist.
