She currently teaches Contemporary Canadian Literature and Creative Writing atQueen's University .She was seventeen when she published her first poem in an anthology called Vibrations, edited by Gage publishing and intended for study in schools. She continued to publish while studying
English Literature andEastern Religion at theUniversity of Toronto . She gave her first public reading in1972 , and she began writing full-time in1979 , with her first collection of poetry being published in1981 .Bibliography
