Romania have participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since the first Contest in 2003. It is broadcasted on TVR1.

TVR hosted the JESC in Bucharest in 2006. When Romania held the contest in 2006, the three previous Romanian entries performed a remix of their songs while the votes were being counted.
