The Prix Ganay is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to thoroughbreds which are four-years-old or above. It is run over a distance of 2,100 metres (approximately 1 mile and furlongs) at Longchamp Racecourse, and it takes place annually in late April or early May.

It was first run in 1889 as the Prix des Sablons and was re-named in 1949 in memory of Jean de Ganay, a French race organiser who died the previous year.

With the exception of the 1944 and 1945 runnings, contested at Maisons-Laffitte over 2,100 metres, the original distance of 2,000 metres was maintained until 1970. The following year the race was given Group 1 status and both the distance and date were interchanged with those of the Prix d'Harcourt.
