East Cavan was a former UK Parliament constituency in Ireland, returning one Member of Parliament 1885-1922.

Prior to 1885 the area was part of the Cavan (UK Parliament constituency). After 1922 the area was not represented in the UK Parliament.

Boundaries

This constituency comprised the eastern part of County Cavan.

Elections

Samuel Young died on 18 April 1918, and Arthur Griffith was elected in a by-election on 20 June. Griffith was returned again just six months later in the United Kingdom general election, 1918.
