Jeffrey Lorien (born
September 19 ,1962 ) is an American musician known for playing lead guitar in the punk rock bandCoffin Break from 1992 until the band's 1994 break-up. His recording contributions forCoffin Break included theEpitaph Records release Thirteen in 1992. Shortly after the break-up the following year, he formed his bandOrange King which released an EP and 7" single before disbanding in 1997. Lorien has worked with many noteworthy Seattle musicians as guitarist, bassist, singer, arranger, and producer for and withDuff McCagen ,Dain Hudsen ,Ben Ireland ofSky Cries Mary , the legendary singer/poetRoberto Valenza ,Jason Finn ofThe Presidents of the United States of America , andWill Van Spronsen ofThe Super 8 , and many others. He has released several self-produced CDs on hisApollo Records label. He is known for his Jimmy Page-like approach to the guitar.
