Musical career

Although born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Storms was raised in Waterloo, Indiana. His musical affinity appeared at a young age. Four days after graduating high school, he returned to Oklahoma to begin his career in Christian music. Since then, Storms has appeared with a number of singing groups, including Freedom, Vocal Union, AVB, Acappella, and Rescue. He also performed with the cast of Branson’s "50’s at the Hop," was voted Branson’s Bass Singer of the Year for three years in a row, and is in the Branson’s Entertainers Hall of Fame. Storms joined Pierce Arrow Theater at the beginning of the 2006 season [ [http://www.piercearrowtheater.com/bios/tim.html Tim Storms] , Pierce Arrow Online] .

As well as his performances across the US, Storms has also performed in Brazil, France, Switzerland, Jamaica, and Fiji.

Guinness World Record

By vibrating his vocal cords at 8 Hz, Storms set a Guinness World Record for the lowest note produced by a human. His record was certified in January 2002 [ [http://www.bagend.com/rescue.htm A cappella group "Rescue" relies on Bag End to hit the low notes] ,Bag End Loudspeakers] . This note is below the range of a human's hearing ability, two octaves below the lowest B on a piano. Storms also holds the Guinness World Record for the widest vocal range for a male. His records have been published in the Guinness World Records 2006.

YouTube Videos

Tim Storms can be seen in two YouTube videos. One features the singer performing "Amazing Grace" with Rescue. This video, available from various users, has been very popular, with over 50,000 hits on two separate video posts. The other, less popular video, features Storms in a puppet show involving strange sounds that seem almost non-human.
