- Soulima Stravinsky
Soulima Igorevich Stravinsky (OldStyleDate|23 September|1910|10 September - 28 November 1994) was a Russian-Swiss composer and musicologist.
He was the son of
Igor Stravinsky and Katerina Nossenko, and the grandson ofFyodor Stravinsky . In addition to his many musical compositions, he wrote books on orchestration and the orchestra. His book onorchestration contains an excellent section onbrass instrument s including many unusual instruments. Like the sons ofJohann Sebastian Bach , Soulima Stravinsky was overshadowed by his father.Works
