Leith Mulligan

Leith Mulligan

Leith Mulligan (born 17 June 1973 in South Australia) is an Australian sports journalist and presenter on FoxSportsNews.

Born in South Australia, Mulligan grew up on his family’s vineyard in the Coonawarra wine region. One of six children, Mulligan was determined from a young age that his chosen career would involve sport. In 1989, aged 16, he joined Channel 8 in Mt Gambier as a junior sports reporter.

Over the next six years he worked at WIN TV in Shepparton and Wollongong. In 1995, he joined Ten News in Sydney as a sports reporter. Three years later in 1998 he joined National Nine News as a sports reporter. A year later he began presenting the sports report on Nine’s weekend news, with Jo Hall. He also used fill in for the weeknight sports presenter Tony Jones throughout the year. Former Seven News reporter Heath O’Loughlin replaced Mulligan.

In September 2006, it was announced in The Age's "Pssst" column that Mulligan had signed on to FoxSportsNews, and Mulligan would leave his long-standing position at Nine.
