Brooke Gladstone is an American journalist, and media analyst. She is host and managing editor of the National Public Radio newsmagazine, "On the Media", and a has been a contributor to "The Washington Post", "The Boston Globe", "The Observer", and "Slate". Gladstone lectures at universities and conferences and has hosed PBS's "Charlie Rose Show". Widely quoted as an expert on press trends, she has covered news media for much of her career, starting as a correspondent for "Currents" magazine in the early 1980s and continuing as media reporter for NPR in the 1990s. Gladstone also covered the death throes of the Soviet Union for NPR while based in Moscow.

Gladstone resides in Brooklyn with her husband, journalist Fred Kaplan, and their twin daughters.
