Striped Grass Mabuya "Mabuya dissimilis" is a species of skink found in South Asia.

Description

Snout moderate, obtuse. Lower eyelid with an undivided semi-transparent disk. Nostril behind the vertical of the suture between the rostral and the first labial; no postnasal; anterior loreal in contact with the first labial; supranasals in contact behind the rostral; frontonasal broader than long; prefrontals forming a median suture; frontal in contact with the second supraocular only (exceptionally with the first as well); 4 supraoculars, second largest; 6 supraciliaries ; frontoparietals distinct, usually nearly as long as the frontal, and larger than the interparietal, which entirely separates the parietals; usually no distinct nuchals; 4, seldom 5, labials anterior to the subocular, which is about twice as long as the neighbouring shields and not narrowed below. Ear-opening oval, larger than a lateral scale, smaller than the eye-opening, with 3 or 4 short pointed lobules anteriorly. Dorsal scales strongly bicarinate, nuchals and laterals tricarinate; 34 to 36 scales round the middle of the body, subequal. The adpressed limbs overlap. Toes short; subdigital lamellae smooth. Tail about 2.6 times length of head and body. Olive or brownish above, black-spotted, and with 3 more or less distinct light longitudinal streaks, the vertebral sometimes absent; flanks white-spotted; a short horizontal white streak below the eye; lower surfaces whitish.
