Bicester Town F.C. is a football club based in Bicester in Oxfordshire, England. They were founder members of the Hellenic Football League in 1953 and currently play in that league's Premier Division.

History

Bicester Town were formed from an amalgamation between two local clubs, Bicester Rovers and Bicester Harriers, in the late nineteenth century

In 1953 they became founder members of the Hellenic League, which they have played in ever since, winning the league on two occasions, 1960-61 and 1979-80. They also reached the 4th round of the FA Vase in the 1978-79 season. They finished runners-up in the Hellenic League Division One East in 2005-06, gaining promotion back to the Premier Division.

Ground

The club first played on the town's cricket field before using a variety of different grounds, including those used by the two clubs which had merged to form the new team. In 1929 both the football and cricket teams moved onto a former golf course on Oxford Road, where they remain to this day.

The ground boasts a wood, iron and brick stand dating from the 1930s with terracing and bench seating, and a clubhouse built in 1960. It also has floodlighting.

The record attendance recorded at the ground is 955 for a match against Portsmouth in 1994, although it is usually much lower - in the 2005-06 season the best gate was 81.
