Jura, Scotland "The Small Isles (
Scottish Gaelic : Na h-Eileanan Beaga) are a smallarchipelago of islands in theInner Hebrides , off the west coast ofScotland . They lie south of Skye and north of Mull andArdnamurchan – the most westerly point of mainlandScotland .The four main islands are Canna,
Rùm ,Eigg and Muck. The largest is Rùm with an area of 105 km².The islands now form part of
Lochaber , in the Highland council area. Canna,Rùm and Muck were historically part of the counties ofArgyll ;Eigg was historically part ofInverness-shire until 1891, and all of the Small Isles were inInverness-shire , from 1891 to 1975.Smaller islands surrounding the main four include:

*Eilean Chathastail , near Eigg and
