Nor'wester

Nor'wester has been used to describe sumeet several different types of wind.

• A New Zealand wind pattern resulting in the Nor'west arch and leading to hot, dry weather on the east coast of the South Island.
• In Bangladesh and adjacent portions of India a type of storm known as a "Nor'wester" occasionally occurs in the spring. Some of these storms may be progressive derechos.^[1]
• Nor'Wester Mountains, a group of mountains in Ontario, Canada
• Clements Ripley which served as the basis for the 1959 film John Paul Jones.
