Joel Townsley Rogers

Joel Townsley Rogers (1896–1984), American writer who wrote science-fiction, air-adventure, and mystery stories and a handful of mystery novels.

Joel Townsley Rogers was born in 1896 in Sedalia, Missouri. He studied at Harvard University. During World War I he served as a flying instructor. After the war he started publishing stories, mostly in pulp magazines .

His most famous novel is The Red Right Hand which was first published in [1945. The book sold fairly well and was reissued several times in paperback. Besides that book, Rogers published hundreds of short stories and two or three other full-length novels which didn't have success.

Joel Townsley Rogers died in Washington D.C. in 1984.
