Andrew Browne was educated at Christ Church Grammar School, excelling at both cricket and football. He eventually became captain of both the First XI and First XVIII, as well as being captain of his day house and the Senior Sport Prefect. Andrew was drafted in the 2001 National AFL Draft 4th round selection (Fremantle) No. 52 overall. He is a promising midfielder who built on his four games in 2003 with 14 in 2004 after being named an emergency in six consecutive games early in the season. Held his place in the second half of the season and showed enough to suggest he will be a valuable player. Won the club's 2004 Beacon Award as the best new talent (under 21 and less than 10 games to start of season).
He did not play in the 2005 season due to injury. In late 2006 Browne became very close to being included in the starting lineup before several matches, before suffering a further injury, meaning he did not play a game for the club in over 2 years. In the 2007 season, he finally broke into the Fremantle starting lineup, playing the first 3 games of the season and impressing in the first 2 games. However, in the third match against the
West Coast Eagles , he suffered an injury, and did not play again for the rest of the season.External links
