Palmdale High School is located in Palmdale, California and is part of the Antelope Valley Union High School District. About 4,000 students attend Palmdale High School in grades 9 through 12. Palmdale High School was founded in 1956.

The school's website defines its mission as follows:

“Our mission is to provide a safe and secure learning environment that promotes a rigorous curriculum and enables our students to develop the necessary academic, technical, and work-related skills of the 21st century. Every student who graduates will be prepared to pursue college or any career to which he/she aspires.”

Automotive

Palmdale High has a distinguished automotive program led by Technician Timothy A. Green. Mr. Green has taken the automotive program to a professional level, the school has an Auto "shop" with four bays, and three lifts. Students are taught at different levels, from changing brakes to doing bizarre engine swaps and restorations. Palmdale automotive students also get to work along side professionals, the automotive class is divided in groups of 3 or 4 and taken to the local car dealers auto services for "real life" experiences.

Choir

Palmdale High School is also known for its world renowned choir, usually scoring in the high 90s in competition. The program is directed by Mike McCullough and travels every year to festivals around the world. The international trips started in 1999 with a trip to the Shrewsbury International Music Festival in England. High School Gaming League

Palmdale High School is one of two schools in the nation chosen to make video games an actual sport. as of 2008, it will have officially started this program.
