He attended St Augustine Webster Primary School and High Ridge Comprehensive before taking a degree inIllustration atKingston upon Thames University .Since the mid-1980s, Flynn has illustrated covers for hundreds of novels, including some for well-known authors, such as
Frederik Pohl ,Greg Bear ,Isaac Asimov ,Robert A. Heinlein andArthur C. Clarke , who commented: "Danny has the ability to blend real objects into imaginary landscapes, evoking the true sense of wonder which is really at the heart of all good Science Fiction and Fantasy."
