Madison County Record

The "Madison County Record" is a weekly newspaper based in Edwardsville, Illinois and focuses its attention exclusively to the courts of Madison and St. Clair Counties in southern Illinois.

Brian Timpone is the publisher of the paper, while Ann Knef is the editor. The paper has two full-time reporters, Steve Gonzalez and Steve Korris.

The paper expanded on Dec. 5, 2005, and started a sister newspaper in West Virginia called the West Virginia Record.

Both newspapers are owned by the United States Chamber of Commerce and are tools in the Tort Reform movement.

In December 2006, the newspaper started an online only news source called Legal News Line, based out of Washington D.C. Legal News Line covers all 50 states Attorney General's and Supreme Courts.

In March 2007, the paper again expanded and the Southeast Texas Record was born.

Approximately 750,000 unique visitors read the online version of the papers.
