The Damansara-Puchong Expressway or Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong, LDP, MES-E|11 is a major expressway in Klang Valley, Selangor in Malaysia. It links major townships in Damansara and Puchong and decreases travel time between them. Besides that, the expressway provides better accessibility to these areas via links to other expressways in Klang Valley, such as JKR|2 Federal Highway, JKR|217 Puchong-Sungai Besi Highway, MES-E|10 New Pantai Expressway (NPE), MES-E|23 Sprint Expressway, JKR|54 Sungai Buloh Highway, and JKR|28 Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).

History and pioneer routes

Construction of the expressway began in 1997. The expressway is formally known as Jalan Sungai Penchala, Jalan Perbandaran, Jalan PJS Utama, Jalan Puchong-Petaling Jaya JKR|B11, Jalan Puchong-Shah Alam JKR|B7, Jalan Puchong Perdana, and Jalan Puchong-Sri Kembangan JKR|B16. The Damansara-Puchong Expressway was opened in 1999.

Since 1 July 2004, the FasTrak electronic payment system has been replaced by Touch 'n Go and Smart TAG electronic payment systems.

Features

A notable feature of the expressway is a cable-stayed bridge on the Federal Highway interchange.

Current developments

Upgrading of the Puchong Jaya Interchange

The upgrading works of the Puchong Jaya Interchange including ramp from Puchong-Sungai Besi Highway to the expressway began in 2002 and was completed in 2005.

The upgrading of the TTDI interchange began on November 2007.
