Law & Order " series, "Bad Girl". She played a young woman who murders an undercover police officer, and then undergoes a religious conversion during her trial and isborn again .In 2000, she played the role of Alison in the short-lived Fox TV series "
The $treet ".She played the film parts of Cynthia McLean in "Metropolitan" (1990) and Alison in "
I Shot Andy Warhol " (1996). She also played Moira Ingalls in the movie "On Line " (2002), Isabel in "Happy Here and Now " (2002), and Kathryn in "New Orleans, Mon Amour " (2008).In March 2009, Scribner will publish "Happens Every Day," a memoir by Gillies about how she left New York to follow her first husband to a small Midwestern college town, only to see her "perfect" marriage suddenly crumble before her eyes.

Gillies is the daughter of Linda Gillies and Archibald L. Gillies of
Islesboro, Maine . Her father was until 2001 the president of theAndy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in New York. Her mother retired as the director of theVincent Astor Foundation in New York.On
October 13 ,2007 , Gillies married Peter Lattman, a reporter for the "The Wall Street Journal ", at Sidecar, a private dining room at New York restaurant P.J. Clarke’s. Both were previously married.External links
