Julius Michael Johannes Maggi (
Frauenfeld ,Switzerland ,October 9 ,1846 , –Küsnacht ,October 19 ,1912 ) was a Swiss entrepreneur, an inventor of precooked soups and Maggi spice, and the founder of the food companyMaggi .Maggi was the youngest of five children of Michael Maggi, an immigrant from
Lombardy , and his Swiss wife Sophie.Maggi died in 1912 after a stroke. He married twice, and had four daughters and two sons.
