MemphisRap.com is company with a mission to "bridge the gap between Memphis Rap Artists and their fans". It operates and acts as a portal, record store, community, as well as a tool allowing artists to build, and present their music on an international level. It was founded by University of Memphis students Hosea Mays, Jr and Charla Littlejohn in March 2000 and has remained independently owned. The company is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.

History
MemphisRap.com began as a news portal and music store in early 2001, but eventually begin to expand at an enormous rate. Establishing itself as the first Memphis Rap site and community for artists and fans in Memphis, Tennessee, MemphisRap.com has become a recognized brand and has gained loyalty. Initially, Memphis Rap holds a 100 percent share of the music market locally.
MemphisRap.com consists of more than 200,000 pages, whereas many of them are self-managed by fans and artists themselves.
As MemphisRap.com's popularity has increased, so has the range of features it offers. It includes a range of topics, categories, articles, sub-sites and up-to-date information on rap/hip-hop in the Mid-South. MemphisRap.com is said to be home to over 4,000 local artists, producers and labels.
Offerings
MemphisRap.com offers a variety of services. The site includes interviews & cover features, music charts, online shopping catalog, music websites, a producers' column (hosted by columnist/author, producer and former BMI Music Licensing Executive Tommy Volinchak), a live events calendar, video streaming site, modeling & sister site Memphis Honeys, marketing and media services.

MemphisRap.com is owned by Hosea Mays Jr and co-founded by Charla Littlejohn.
