Beara Way

The Beara Way is a longdistance coastal walking trail that runs along the coast of Beara Island. It is beautiful and less crowded than the Kerry Way. Both can be linked into one long walk that might take almost 3 weeks. Access issues to the uplands in recent years have severely restricted the appeal of this walk. The lack of appropriate legislation to guarantee the right to roam has caused many contentious encounters with land owners. Accommodations are available on this walking path.
