Jan Trubecki

Jan Trubecki ("Jaan Trubetsky"; 29 December 1938 Tallinn) is a Polish-Ruthenian bayan player, noted for his performances of Frédéric Chopin's and Michał Kleofas Ogiński's preludes and fugues. Jan Trubecki belongs to the Trubecki family of Polish nobility, but since he was born in 1938 and the titles of Polish nobility were officially abolished in 1921, he has never enjoyed the privileges of being a noble. His parents were Lydia Maripuu (25 January 1915 in Dundaga – 25 April 1990 in Tallinn), Livonian, and Vladimir Waloc Trubetsky. He is married to Leili Rikk (born 10 November 1937 in Türi, Estonia) and they have two sons, Tõnu Trubetsky (born 24 April 1963) and Toomas Trubetsky (born 22 December 1968). His sister is Isabella Hitzel (born 20 July 1956 in Offenbach, Hesse).
