Soreng

Soreng is known for its largest production of vegetables, oranges and flowers in the west district. The inhabitants are mostly Sherpa, Bhutia,Tamangs, Lepches and few other's caste. Soreng is about 4 hrs from [Darjeeling] and 3;hrs from Kalimpong The region is huge eco-tourism spot, and thousand of people visit this place, in a year. Its major attraction is lovely landscape like vir dara, fisharies, jandi dara, soreng lake, good view of Mount. Kanchanjanga, flora n fauna, white river rafting at Teesta river etc. It is a well known place of tricking expedition in sikkim.
