Woody Stephens Stakes

The Woody Stephens Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race held annually at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. The race is open to three-year-old horses sprinting the seven furlong distance. Now named in honor of the late U.S. Hall of Fame horse trainer Woody Stephens, it was known as the Riva Ridge Stakes prior to 2006 in honor of the Hall of Fame horse, Riva Ridge.

The race is a Grade II event carrying a purse of $250,000, as well as a prep race to the Breeders' Cup Sprint.
