Pithius

Pithius

In demonology, and according to Francis Barrett, Pithius is a demon with the rank of prince of the liar spirits and demons.

He is depicted as a serpent, and perhaps his name was a corruption of the word "pythoness" an ancient Greek female diviner, inspired by some deity.

"Other spellings": Pytho, Pythius.
