The defender played 26 international matches and scored once for the Bolivian national team, including two appearances in the1994 FIFA World Cup .Managerial career
After retiring as a player Quinteros became a coach at San Lorenzo's youth academy, in 2003 he had a brief spell as first team coach. He returned to Bolivia in 2005 to manage Blooming and then took over San Martín de San Juan in the Argentine 2nd division.
